True Love Indeed:Selena Gomez working with Justin Bieber’s pastor

 Selena Gomez has reportedly approached Justin Bieber’s pastor in a bid to help the troubled star.

The singer-and-actress sparked speculation she has rekindled her romance with the pop heartthrob when they were spotted kissing in Norway earlier this month. Since the stars initially split late last year, Justin has seemingly been on a downward spiral ‘ he was criticised for arriving late on stage for his world tour, accused of spitting at a neighbour and his tour bus was searched for drugs by police last week. However, Selena is determined to get Justin back on the right track and has turned to Pastor Judah Smith for advice.

‘Selena’s been in touch with Justin’s best friend Pastor Judah Smith and asking advice on how she should approach things. He’s convinced that Selena can help Justin, so he’s doing everything he can to get them back together,’ a source told British magazine Heat.

Justin and Selena seemed to confirm they are an item again when she appeared in a photograph with him shirtless on Instagram last week.
As well as seeking advice from the pastor, she’s also been in contact with Justin’s confidante and former ‘swagger coach’ Ryan Good.

‘Selena’s been asking friends like Ryan and Judah how she should win Justin round,’ the source added. ‘She feels he needs her more than ever and wants to at least be friends with him again ‘ she thinks he’s lost his way without his usual support network and wants to make sure he’s alright.’

Judah has spoken out about Justin’s rocky patch. He believes the 19-year-old star needs the support of loved ones to help him through this difficult period.
‘The celebrities that I counsel are some of the most isolated and sometimes alone people in the world,’ he told the magazine. ‘I’m a firm believer in community and having people around who love you.’
Judah has apparently been trying to get Selena and Justin to reunite for some time.

It has been claimed he gave Selena a copy of the relationship book The 5 Languages of Love: The Secret to Love that Lasts in a bid to help them work through their issues.

Actress Foluke Daramola set to drag former friend to court for libel

Popular Yoruba Actress Foluke Daramola is getting ready to sue her former friend and journalist Bukola Fasuyi for defamation of character. Bukola had claimed in an interview that she introduced Foluke to her new husband, Kayode Salako, and that Foluke had used jazz to charm Kayode and break his home. (If you missed it, read the story HERE)

According to people close to Foluke, she and some family members have contacted their lawyer to sue Bukola for character assassination. Bukola will soon appear in court to prove that Foluke indeed used diabolical means to obtain Kayode Salako.

Bukola told an Encomium reporter this week that she's not bothered about a lawsuit and is waiting to get the petition from Foluke's lawyers. She said she still feels bad for introducing Foluke to Kayode because the introduction was for Foluke to get financial help from Kayode and not to take him from his wife. "I'm not bothered about a lawsuit though Kayode has sent a threat message to me that we would meet in court. I'm more bothered about Kayode's wife. I hope she forgives me" She said.

Man jailed 45 years for stealing Aregbesola’s phone

 A 31 year old named Kevin Ighodalo (pictured above), has been sentenced to 45 years imprisonment by an Osogbo High Court for stealing a N50,000 Sony Ericsson phone belonging to Governor Rauf Aregbesola, a 31-year-old Kelvin Ighodalo has been sentenced to 45-year imprisonment by an Osogbo High Court.

Ighodalo stole the phone from the pocket of Aregbesola on November 27, 2010, when the governor was being inaugurated at Government Technical College, Osogbo.

Justice Oyejide Falola, who heard the case, found Ighodalo guilty on six counts, which included conspiracy, stealing and fraud.

He was sentenced to 10-year imprisonment for the first three counts and five years for each of the last three which included impersonation, obtaining property by falsehood and collusion.

Falola, who ruled that Ighodalo deserved the jail term, held that the convict used the phone to obtain N500, 000 from the Owa of Ilesa, Oba Adekunle Aromolaran, while he obtained N200, 000 from Mr Shengen Rahman, an associate of the governor.

The jail term, which Falola pronounced will run concurrently, means that Ighodalo will spend the next 10 years behind bars.

Assistant principal state counsel, Mr Biodun Badiora, told the court that the convict had served six-year imprisonment in Ikoyi prison custody in connection with a murder case in 2005.

Counsel to Ighodalo, Mr. Ameachi Ngwu, prayed the court to commit him to community service, stressing that the convict should not be incarcerated but rather be placed where people could see him as a convict.

Two more ‘I don port’ videos surface on YouTube

As the phrase, ‘I don port’ gradually finds its way into the vocabulary of Nigerians home and abroad, thanks to the new MTN Nigeria commercial on mobile number portability,  two more videos of ‘I don port’ have found their way to YouTube.
The new videos are different from the one in which ace comedian, Hafeez Oyetoro, popularly called Saka, played the lead role in the commercial.
One of the videos is with the title, ‘Free style I don port dance contest’ while the other one carries the title, “Group two I don port dance contest.”
‘Free style I don port dance contest’ video, which has attracted 4,159 views, is a 28-second video, shot in an office setting and has 11 people dancing to the rhythm of Saka’s version of the “I don port” commercial.
The “Group two I don port dance contest” has 12 people clad in customised black T-shirts, also dancing to the rhythm of the new MTN commercial-in a 56-second video. So far, 2,856 people have viewed the video.
MTN had asked its customers to form themselves into groups and create their own “I don port” videos to win BlackBerry Z10 phones and recharge cards worth N150, 0000. More of such user-generated contents are expected to find their way to YouTube.
A check on Saka’s ‘I don port’ advert on MTN’s YouTube channel shows that within six days of putting the video on the social media, 97,523 people have  viewed it, making  the video the telecoms company’s most viewed commercial on the video-sharing website.
The MTN TV commercial that ranks next to this is its commercial on family and friends package of December 2011, which featured Nollywood acts Nkem Owoh (Osuofia)  and Patience Ozokwo. It garnered 41,781 views.
Even the MTN ultimate wonder commercial posted on YouTube on August 10, 2012,  which announced the telecoms firms, readiness to give away a brand new aeroplane and over N200 million cash  only attracted a meagre 2,929 views.
Compared to other Mobile Number Portability TV commercials by the three other telecommunications firms in the country,  MTN’s ‘I don port’ commercial currently has the most views on YouTube.
The Airtel commercial trails MTN from behind with 65,398 views while that of Glo and Etisalat follow. But many on the social media have argued that the MNP adverts could be likened to an “advert war” among the four leading players in the telecommunication industry.
For instance, the Airtel commercial featured a young man relocating from an apartment painted yellow to settle down in a red one. Yet, he retains the house number-3.
Also, the Glo mobile portability commercial has in it a group of men pushing a yellow Nissan Xterra to the direction where other road users were “porting” to.  However, the Etisalat commercial, with 2,659 views, seems uncomplicated and simple, taking the message directly to the audience.
The mobile portability ad war being widely discussed on various social networks started when Saka, who had hitherto been a face of the Etisalat brand for years, appeared in  the MTN TV commercial, last week Monday.  It was the day Nigeria Communication Commission’s sanctioned mobile number portability package kicked off.
The commercial now widely known as ‘I don port’ shows Saka leading a music band and clad in a green traditional attire only to transform to a bright yellow attire. He sang and danced in the commercial, saying, “I don port o. I don port o MTN. I don upgrade to MTN.”
A commentator on MTN Nigeria’s YouTube channel, with the name, nigerianguy82, describes the MNP adverts of the different firms as brand warfare.
He says, “This advert should become a case study in universities around the world on marketing communications, strategy and brand warfare.”
But some Nigerians on social networks say the various commercials will have little or no effect on them.
One of them is Emmanuella,  a member of an online forum, nairaland.com, who says she would rather buy a phone which uses four SIM cards rather than waste her time porting from one network to another.
She says, “These telecom companies shouldn’t bother wasting money on commercials. Instead of me to port, I’ll buy a China phone with four SIM card slots. If MTN was wiser, they would have used Saka’s signing fee to give freebies to those who ‘port’ into their network.”

Five foreign workers kidnapped in Bayelsa state

Five expatriates, three Sri Lankans, a Russian and a Myanmarian were kidnapped today in Bayelsa state. The foreign workers were aboard an oil services support vessel when they were kidnapped by unknown gunmen. The Joint Task Force in the state said they have deployed gunboats to find the kidnapped workers and rescue them.

Men please explain this. What does 'I'm single and dating' mean?

I want to make this a topic of discussion because as a woman I don't understand what 'I'm single and dating' means'. When asked by Toolz in The Juice interview if he was dating, Banky W said, "I'm still very much single" and then he added. "I'm single and dating."

I know a lot of guys understand what he means by that, so please explain to us ladies. I'm thinking he means he doesn't have an official girlfriend or anyone he's serious with, but has a woman/women he takes out and chops any how...lol. I don't have a girlfriend but I get my groove-on on a regular basis. Is that what single and dating means? And are some women OK with being in situations like this?

Ini Edo's marriage in trouble?

According to Global News magazine;

 In a typical African society like ours, there are certain norms and behaviour expected of married women, and there are those looked upon as taboos especially when the women are not in company of their husbands. It is therefore surprising that more than three years after she tied the knot, Ini Edo Ehiagwina is still of the belief that she is still that explosive single lady.

These days, Ini Edo has been caught behaving more irresponsibly than when she was still a spinster. The plump dark-skinned actress who got married to Philip Ehiagwina, a US-based Nigerian divorcee has not come to terms three years into her marriage that she’s actually married, as she has at several times be sighted very odd hours at clubs in drunken state.



The Calabar-born actress had reduced her club life to the barest minimum immediately she got married, but her recent appearance at clubs is raising suspicions that all may not be too well with her marriage. She was sighted at Club 10, Victoria Island in Lagos on the March 28, around 1a.m. and the state she was found in was not befitting a married woman. Sporting a black mini gown with white collar, Ini Edo arrived at the club dead drunk; she was in such a drunken state that she could not stand upright and could only stagger to her seat.

Those around could not help but comment that the Nollywood actress might have just rediscovered her appetite for booze as she would not leave until she had soaked herself in alcohol. They were wondering aloud as to the reason she decided to plunge herself back into a habit she worked so hard to get out of initially. It is not new that Ini Edo was a club and booze freak while she was single, but in her bid to launch herself into the married class, she had put a stop to the kind of life she was known for as a spinster and the return to the lifestyle may mean the rumour that all is not well with the marriage may after all not be unfounded.

Philip her husband who is based in the United States of America, has of late not been regular in the country and this may be adding strain to the union, with Ini Edo knowing fully well her husband’s prowess with women, a reason she had fought many ladies before and after their wedding to stay off her man. It is no secret how she was able to win the man from his first marriage to Ruth Okoro, how she had to fight a female journalist she thought was getting too close to the man before the marriage and how she warned several of her Nollywood friends to stay off her man after the marriage proper. And his continuous stay in America may have forced so many thoughts into her mind, which could be the reason she’s back to her reckless self.

It was even alleged that her inability to conceive after three years of marriage may also be mounting pressure on her relationship as it is suspected that the husband’s family has started raising eyebrows. Ini Edo and Philip tied the nuptial knots in 2009 in the United States of America after their traditional marriage in 2008. Her failure to have an issue was initially said to be due to Ini Edo’s work and the husband residing abroad but three years down the line, tongues have started wagging and this may be having its own effect on the actress.

Meet the man deported from Saudi Arabia for being 'too handsome'

Drop dead gorgeous actor, poet and fashion photographer Omar Borkan Al Gala (pictured above) from UAE was one of the three men ordered to leave a cultural festival early this month in Saudi Arabia and then thrown out of the country because authorities thought their looks could corrupt their young women.

Arabic newspaper Elaph wrote: ‘A festival official said the three Emiratis were taken out on the grounds they are too handsome and that the commission (for the Promotion of Virtue and Prevention of Vices) members feared female visitors could fall for them.’
