Nicki Minaj is leaving American Idol after just one season with the struggling reality-competition series, sources told Us Weekly on Wednesday.
It's safe to say she isn't coming back to Idol," the source said. "She's okay with it. She had a great time but was only going to do one season anyway.
"The source adds Minaj, who made a reported $12 million for the gig, will move on to focus on her music and endorsements after the show wraps on Thursday.
If confirmed, Minaj would be the second person from the show's current panel to depart the show; Randy Jackson, Idol's only remaining original judge, confirmed he's leaving last week. The future of the remaining two judges, Mariah Carey andKeith Urban, remains uncertain.
